The Basilicata Bike Trail is not only an event, but a dive into the archaic soul of Basilicata, which is made of a series of experiences, trips and opportunities for meeting local people.

We always build new routes and move with the seasons, like the cows in transhumance. We are not promising white roads, gravel floors, comfortable travel, flat routes, dedicated services, and accommodation facilities everywhere. Not a t all. Do you know the sensation you look for when you decide to get away from everything?

You will find it here, in a place that seems exotic and far away, but is actually located in the middle of the Mediterranean. The only buildings you will encounter among the mule tracks, the paths carved between the gullies, and the streets where the vegetation regains its space, have no roof and no people living there. Otherwise, you would have found shelter, refuge and genuine food.
